Broskolan is beautifully located in Svedjeholmen in the southwestern part of Örnsköldsvik. The school is an independent primary school with a confessional Christian orientation, offering grades from F-9, after-school care, and three preschool departments. The school has about 140 students in mixed classes. In addition to educators, the school has functions such as school administration, student health, kitchen, cleaning, and maintenance. During the spring term of 2018, Broskolan worked on developing a pedagogy aimed at enhancing students' physical well-being, participation, and results. This school development work will continue to be developed for the benefit of both students and educators regarding teaching and education.

The position is a fixed-term employment for approximately 6 months with a potential opportunity for extension. Employment rate is 50 percent.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your work will focus on students' knowledge in mathematics and language in the lower and middle grades, as well as their opportunities to feel good and develop in school. This may include:

• Working in small groups with a limited number of students
• Support teaching in mathematics and Swedish
• Simpler assessments
• Parent contacts.

You will participate in the school's student health team.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• has a special education degree or other education/degree deemed equivalent

• is proficient in the Swedish language both orally and in writing

• is a colleague who works closely with other professionals to ensure that our students perceive learning in the organization as important, inspiring, enjoyable, and challenging.

Experience as a special education teacher in schools is an advantage.
